Acceptable Use Policy / Terms Of Service KalNet will not be held responsible for any of its customers actions. KalNet reserves the right to terminate any and all accounts. Actions that will result in the loss of your KalNet account are but not limited to the following: The use of bulk e-mail programs. Spamming newsgroups. Unsolicited advertising. Impersonating another user. Any action against KalNet, its customers or any other entity, with the intent of doing harm. Distribution of any illegal material. Redistributing any KalNet service via a non-dedicated account. Accessing any illegal pornography including but not limited to:(Bestiality, Child Pornography, Etc...) KalNet's service may only be used from the location it is purchased for. The violation of any local, state, national, or international law Multiple log-ons with one account at the same time Billing: All Bills are due within 10 days of the date sent. KalNet reserves the right to pass any account more than 30 days past due to a collection agency KalNet reserves the right to bill you for additional accounts (Including the Setup Fee) if you are caught using multiple log-ons. KalNet reserves the right to charge a late fee of not more than 10% to any account past Due. KalNet reserves the right to charge a reactivation fee to any account suspended for non payment. If you wish to teminate your account please sumbit a request, in writing, no less than 7 days before your anniversary date to assure that you will not be charged for another month. Email Policy: KalNet forbids the practice of leaving mail on the server once it has been downloaded for more than 15 days. KalNet reserves the right to delete all mail over 60 days. All mail accounts have a 10MB quota. If this is exceeded KalNet reserves the rights to delete any of the offenders mail off the server. Mail will be deleted oldest to newest to bring your account within the Quota. KalNet reserves the right to Block any and all mailing lists deemed a nuisance or guilty of Spamming. KalNet reserves the right to place a size limit on mail if deemed necessary. What Unlimited Usage Means: Your Unlimited Usage Account allows you to dial into KalNet's system as many times as you like and stay connected as long as you like provided that you are 'using' the the connection for some meaningful purpose. 'Meaningful' purposes include sending/receiving email or news postings, viewing web pages, uploading/downloading files, etc. It does not include running your own server, or any type of automated or unattended process. Idle connections will automatically be disconnected after a reasonable amount of time and attempts to defeat this by constant 'pinging' or retrieval of email are considered 'unacceptable' usage and are not permitted. If you need to have your connection up and running 24 hours per day, or any other extended period of time, contact sales@kalnet.net for information and pricing of dedicated dialup connections. Failure to abide by this rule may result in session limits and/or account termination. Personal Web Account Personal Web Accounts are allowed free of charge. When requested you will be allocated 20 MB (20,000,000 bytes) of hard drive space. Any personal page exceeding this limit will become a business page. These pages will be automatically charged for a business web page. Personal Web Accounts are allowed up to 5,000 visits per month for their web pages. Any account exceeding this limit will be charge two cents for every visit above 5,000. Web space provided for personal accounts may not be used for profit in any way. This includes but is not limited to: Paid links, advertisements, selling of products or services. KalNet will not tolerate any illegal material and reserves the right to cancel any account distributing it. KalNet is not responsible for any material you place on your site and will cooperate with any law enforcement service. All web pages hosted on KalNet's servers must adhere to the policies listed above. KalNet will review all incidents on a per incident basis. KalNet reserves the right of final say in all matters pertaining to its service. Those found to be in violation of this policy may have their account canceled and all money previously paid forfeited. KalNet reserves the right to bring down any of it's servers/services to do maintenance as it sees fit KalNet Reserves the right to modify and add conditions to this agreement at any time.
