History of the Company

In 1994, Black Hole BBS began as an online hobby bulletin board running Wildcat BBS software. Two years later, the company was born as Black Hole Internet, with the business shifting to provide a wide-range of Internet services including dial-up, DSL, web hosting, e-mail, and connectivity solutions. Black Hole Internet became known in the Twin Cities for its fast service and excellent customer support and was extremely popular in the residential connectivity market, ranking in the top 20 providers.

In 2001, the organization was renamed BHI Advanced Internet as the focus shifted to business-class ISP services such as colocation and managed server hosting. From there, the company expanded its service offerings to become a leading Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) with a primary focus on PCI compliance and managed network security.

In 2011, after operating as BHI Advanced Internet for 10 years, the company chose to change its name to SecureConnect to more accurately express the focus and expertise on providing customers with essential IT security and network services. Today, our passion for technology combined with our excellence in customer service continues to fuel the growth of SecureConnect.
